I had forgotten my blog password.. which not surprising considering how frequently i blog..and goes to show how blog-worthy my life is right now..haha.. I'm leading what you can call...a slacker's life..

oh..for my friends who still do not know.. i'm currently unemployed...ya..had a major disagreement with my ex-mentors at the restaurant management thingy...cos I totally disagreed with the way they handled finances, work ethics and morals... I know it's a man-eat-man world out there, but i never expected it to be THIS bad- milking others for all their worth and throwing out those who are no longer of use to you..if that is the solution to business success..thank you very much..he may be successful in life..so what? when it come to being a decent human being...boy, he sucks. So what happened was that we had this huge row in a public place..kinda comical if u think about it, a 17-yr old telling off a full grown adult. Of course that didn't fit too nicely..

Anyway the last I heard, this restaurant is currently doing not-too-badly..in fact even had a write up or 2...and recently moved over to jalan mohammad sultan road. The thing is..from my honest opinion after breathing there almost day in and day out for the entire of 2005, the food isn't that fantabulous..but what kept people going back was the "sincerity" and the "let's-be-friends" atmosphere. It was also because of this that people were willing to pay...yess...the price for a meal person could range from $10 all the way to a whopping $250 per head.

So this is how they work...people step into the restaurant..kinda LIKE the food, but FALL IN LOVE with the music, ambience and atmosphere of the place..hence they go back. As time passes, these people become regulars..so much so that the owners (my ex-mentors) treat them specially and as friends... then come the bombshell.. they invite you to "invest" and become a "shareholder" in the place. (I am really hoping for some lucky diner to stumble on this blog and be forewarned).... the investment can range from a 5-digit sum to a 6-digit sum..one diner was almost defrauded into giving a 7-digit sum, but thanks to all the devine interventions, he didn't.

Well, nevermind a 5-digit or 6 digit, all have one thing in common, that is, they are never gonna be seen again, let alone returned. So the next time u step into a restaurant, and something similar happens, don't say you weren't forewarned. Don't be touched by their sincerity so much so that you'd willing invest, no questions asked, because chances are, there wasn't any sincerity to begin with.
